VANCOUVER AT IT'S FINEST

this summer has been a good one for vancouver.

the sun has been shining non-stop for most parts,
which is quite a rare occurrence.

my friends and i took a stroll along the olympic village which is located right by science world.
it was beaaauuutiful.
it's got this modern/laid back feel to it;
a perfect place to chillax and enjoy the good vibes.
if you're visiting vancouver or even if you're just a local,
the olympic village is a great location to go check out.

only a 3 more weeks left of summer vacay until
school starts again!
where did time go?

enjoy what's left of this fine season

SUNNYSIDE

this past week i was given the opportunity to
to volunteer as a primary teacher at sunnyside camp in alberta.

the long 18 hour drive to get to this
magical camp was well worth it.

i encountered my first sighting of hay bales in alberta.
i didn't know that massive roles of hay that are probably double my hight could exist.
it looks so awesome when 100+ hay bales are scattered randomly across a large field of green.

the best part of the trip was being able to meet a ton of talented and beautifully crafted people.

there were musicians of all ages who could play their instruments like beasts.

there were dancers who could flip and pop to each beat in a song.

there were artists who used their imagination and soul to move their pen.

i saw so much love and support in this one week, it was no surprised that some people have been attending this camp for 30+ years.

i hope i'll be back for year 2 next summer!

JAPAN PART 9 - TAKE ME BACK

just looking at these pictures makes me feel nostalgic.

i.want.to.go.back.

i want to be surrounded by warm air.

i want to walk along rice fields.

i want to hear the trains passing.

i want to gaze at miles and miles of mountainous green-ness.

i want to feel the cool breeze of the asian sea.

there's something about travelling that
makes life seem more exhilarating.

you see roads, trees, buildings differently.

everything is so captivating.

maybe that's the beauty of being young.

so many things unseen.

so many things that excite our minds.

-cheers to youth and living life

JAPAN PART 3 - PETALS OF WONDER

when i was in japan i always got excited when i saw patches of colour in the distance since i knew that would
pretty flowers

and this would then
=
pretty pictures.

the area by my grandparents house was surrounded by all sorts of different and vibrant flowers.
some were truly mesmerizing.

the last picture with the white flower is of a calla flower.
this beauty was right outside my grandparents house and i always spent a minute of the day gazing at it.
it stood strong and fab for the whole three weeks i was there.
the bright white of the petal never dulled, and it amazed me how pure and holy it looked.
usually flowers wilt and disappear after a short period of time, but this flower was a champ.
it was refreshing seeing something so perfect and delicate in this world that can be filled with so much craziness.

-to standing strong and fab
