ROSES

these were roses that my mama received from my papa a little while back.

bold, simple, and a token of love.

i still don't understand why roses symbolize love. their beauty is so temporary and then it wilts and dies.

woah that was quite cynical^

shouldn't love be symbolized by a tree? 

speaking of trees, spring is fast approaching and buds are beginning to grow!

school is quite hectic right now so i haven't had much time to post. hopefully things settle and more pictures get taken.

CRAZY LIGHTS AND GLASS ORNAMENTS

my fam and i went to check out the canyon lights at the capilano suspension bridge. hundreds and thousands of lights lit up the trees and even the bridge itself. the pretty lights were a good distraction to the cold winter weather.  

however my favorite part was seeing some very crafty people make beautiful glass ornaments. a lot of work and skill goes into making one bulb. 

it made me want to make glass ornaments and be surrounded with colourful yet delicate pieces of artwork.

definitely a place to check out if you like the outdoors and are into pretty lights and ornaments.

GROUSE MOUNTAIN - PART 2

the scenery was surreal during the sunset and also at night(it's too bad the picture turned out blurry).

definitely check out grouse when your in rainy vancouver!

and eat beaver tails. yum.

ORNAMENTS

this is an example of procrastination at it's finest.

i really should be studying for my econ final...but it is more interesting to take pretty pictures of christmas ornaments!

it is so difficult to concentrate on studying when:

1. you are dying to see friends.

2. it is almost christmas.

3. there are more fun things to do. duh.

4. instagram, pinterest, and facebook can speak for themselves.

5. pages after pages of notes turn into a big scary monster.

k soo...i should actually study now.

i don't really know what to write.

you know when you have too many thoughts in your head and you just can't manage to put anything into words?

yeah, it's one of those days.

however what i can say is...thank goodness it's the weekend!

SHATTER

so today i accidentally dropped a glass bowl, and the shards of glass literally scattered all over the kitchen floor. i was devastated at first, but then i thought, why not get some good out of a bad situation? so i decided to get some intricate pictures out of it.

MAUI FEVER

these are some pictures from maui back in august 2011.

just looking at these makes me wanna go back to this warm and beautiful place. my dad and i went up to mount haleakala, bright and early to see one of the most spectacular sunrises ever. the last picture was captured on this mountain at over 10000ft.

wish i was in maui at the mo, since rain is the only thing present in the vancity weather forecast.
